ADEN (Debriefer)--Yemen's internationally recognised government on Thursday said the statement of the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs about his country's support to political solution and a Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue are an attempt to throw dust in the eyes unless Iran proves its seriousness about ending the war in the country.

Tehran is required to prove its credibility in supporting peace efforts in Yemen through withdrawing its military ruler in Sanaa, Hasan Irlu, stopping the smuggling of weapons including ballistic missiles, drones and arms and IEDs experts to the Houthis, and stopping terrorist activities of the Revolutionary Guards, the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani said in a statement on Twitter.

The statements of Mohammed Javad Zarif during a meeting with a Houthi representative in Oman were an attempt to cover up Tehran's role in managing the coup, triggering war, exacerbating human suffering and undermining deescalation  efforts by brothers and friends of Yemen for six years, he said.

At his meeting with the Houthi spokesperson and chief negotiator Mohammed Abdulsalam, Zarif said his country welcomes calls for ceasing hostilities and that only political solution can end the war in Yemen.

The government accuses Iran of supporting the Houthi group which ousted it and seized the capital Sanaa in late 2014.

The world is aware of Iran's role in supporting the terrorist Houthi militia to destabilize security and stability in Yemen, thwart peace efforts and transform Yemen into a platform to target neighbors, threaten global energy security and international shipping lines and spread chaos and terrorism in the region, Al-Eryani said.
