Sana'a (Debriefer) - The Saudi-led coalition is called to lift blockade and seriously engage in talks to end war in Yemen, head of the Houthi Supreme Political Council said on Friday.
On the 31st anniversary of Yemeni Unification, Mahdi al-Mashat also called on all the parties to jointly press for cessation of all hostile acts, fix war's impacts and ramifications, and resume relations on basis of good-neighbor policy, mutual respect and cooperation.
"We reiterate, for the United Nations and everybody, our full willingness to effectively contribute to making peace," Mashat said, stressing the need for humanitarian be separated from other aspects.
Insistently linking the humanitarian aspect to military and political conflict is unjustified and will continually obstruct peace efforts, he argued.
It is the right of the Yemeni people to have their airports and seaports reopened, the Houthi official added, as "these issues shouldn't be altered into a negotiable matter or a weapon of war."
