Riyadh (Debriefer) The Iranian-backed Houthi group has fired 430 ballistic missiles and 851 bomb-laden drones at Saudi lands since last February, spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition said on Sunday.
The Iranian IRGC and Hezbollah are widely involved in developing the missiles and drones fired by the Houthis at Saudi and Yemeni areas, Turki al-Maliki added at a press conference in Riyadh.
Iran and its armed helpers in the Arab region spread destruction and feed sectarian ideology in Yemen, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, the Saudi general told reporters.
Maliki displayed "evidences proving that the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militias control the Houthi in Yemen, and transformed Sana'a international airport into workshops to booby-trap drones and make missile trials."
Among the evidences are footages and pictures showing workshops in Sana'a airport where drones are made and missiles launches are tested, but the "coalition destroyed them without leaving damages to civil facilities in the airport."
The coalition spokesman displayed a film for a Hezbollah leader while giving Abu Ali al-Hakim, a Houthi commander, instructions to target ships in the Red Sea.
Other footages showed "Iranian and Hezbollah commanders in Sana'a beside components of unmanned aerial vehicles smuggled to Yemen and stored in civilian sites."
The Houthi group altered many civilian facilities into military places, including "Jowba hospital in Marib, which the group uses as military operation center for its leaders," Maliki claimed, calling for the building to be emptied urgently.
The Houthi attack on Marib threatens the life of 3 million Yemenis, he added, by the Arab "coalition won't hesitate to protect civilians in Yemen and target the Houthi group."
