RIYADH (Debriefer)--Yemen's internationally recognised government said on Sunday that the recent Yemeni-Yemeni consultations represented a drastic shift in the course of the crisis and succeeded in unifying the national factions.

The consultations, sponsored by the Gulf Cooperation Council, brought together representatives from all factions, except the Iran-allied Houthi group, with the aim to end the seven-year war.

Their success in ending the differences between the Yemeni spectrum and unifying their word is a historic achievement that puts the country back on the right track, the Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani said in astatement carried by the state Saba news agency.

The consultations established a political and national consensus under legitimacy, in contrast to the isolation of the Houthis who reject any call for dialogue and continue to use war to achieve their and Iranian goals, he added, according to the agency.
