An official source in the company of oil exploration and production in the province of Marib, north-east of Yemen, said on Thursday that it has increased its export quantities to 10 thousand barrels per day.
The source confirmed that"The company will continue to raise production to more than 15 thousand barrels per day," but did not give a specific date.
The company's production has been stopped during the past two days, because of the crude oil pipeline in the province of Shabwa to blow up.
The company halted production of crude oil before resuming on Wednesday after repairing the pipeline through which oil is pumped to the port of Nushima.
Safir resumed production and export of crude oil in mid-October, after five years of suspension.
The company started transferring 5 thousand barrels per day by land to the area of "Ayaz" in Shabwa governorate, from which to pump oil to the port of Nushima.
