Sana'a (Debriefer) - Houthi delegation on Thursday arrived in the Yemeni capital Sana'a on a UN plane, after successful talks with the official government on prisoner swap in Switzerland.
"We're back in Sana'a.. and expect the deal to be applied mid this month," Abdul Kader al-Murtadha, a negotiator in the Houthi delegation, tweeted.
The Houthi group has expressed full preparedness to swap all prisoners with the government, according to the Sweden-hosted talks, but had "doubts" about the government's readiness to apply in such a deal.
On Sunday, the UN special envoy for Yemen said a pact was signed on Saturday between the Yemeni UN-recognized government and Houthi group in Geneva, where they agreed to release 1,081 prisoners.
The initial swap's action plan starts on 15 October, with prisoners being airlifted from Riyadh, Aden and Marib to Sana'a, and vice versa, Murtadha said then.
Disputes inside the other [government] party led the new deal to be limited to the first part of Amman pact, he added.
While it is just the first batch, this swap would be the largest since the war erupted in Yemen in 2015.
