Riyadh (Debriefer) - The Houthi group deliberately "insults hundreds of Yemen's scientists, geniuses and academics who spent their lives in the scientific and educational progress, in order to push them abroad," Yemen's official information minister tweeted on Wednesday.
The Houthi-appointed Sana'a University's rector issued directives to force a Yemeni archeologist's family out of his apartment in the university residence, Moammar al-Eryani added.
While Prof Youssef Mohamed Abdullah in Cairo for treatment, his family was asked by the Houthis either to leave the apartment or to pay rent for dwelling, the minister claimed.
"These practices come as part of Houthi plot to wash away all the educational process."
Since 21 September 2014, Sana'a City and most of the Yemeni northern and western provinces have been under Houthi control.
