SANAA (Debriefer)--The Houthi salvation government on Wednesday said the visit of the US ambassador Christopher Henzel to Yemen's Mahrah province has provoked every free and honest Yemeni especially as it came on the anniversary of the end of the British rule of the south.
Prime minister Abdulaziz bin Habtour said the visit exposed the real intentions of the Saudi presence in Mahrah which is paving the way for the American legions.
The Saudi presence in this province is an instrument to serve the US-Zionist interests in the region, he said in a statement carried by the Houthi-run Saba news agency.
"The Yemeni people will not accept this occupation. We in Sanaa will support every free and honest person who shakes the ground under the feet of the occupier," he said.
The focus on Mahrah and Hadramout comes within a Zionist project in the region which has started to manifest in the construction of a spy base in the islands of Perim and Socotra, he said.
The GCC states are allying with Israel to face the axis of resistance but the battle with the Zionist axis will be fateful, he added.
The US diplomat made a surprise visit to Mahrah on Monday, saying it was part of the efforts to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in the fight against terror.
The internationally recognized government has not commented on that.
Local tribes said the visit violated the rules of international relations, criticising the government's relinquishment of national sovereignty.
