Marib (Debriefer) - The Saudi-led coalition warplanes on Wednesday intensively bombed Houthi sites and gatherings in the Yemeni northeastern governorate of Marib.
The airstrikes come amid escalated fighting between the Yemeni official government troops and Houthi forces in different areas of Marib.
The coalition fighter jets carried out over 10 raids on Madghal, Rahabah, Mahiliah and Sirwah districts, leaving scores of Houthi fighters killed or injured and military machines destroyed, local sources said.
According to Houthi account, the group's fighters launched a massive attack from several directions on government troops' sites.
The attack included the northern, western and southern directions of Marib, Houthi-affiliated media said, amid artillery coverage.
Fierce battles concentrated on Murad Mont and al-Manaqil, as government troops retreated to al-Jawba area, the media added.
Houthi fighters are about to seize the Marib-Baihan road and continue advancing towards Harib district, according to the Houthi media.
