Aden (Debriefer) - A violent blast rocked Mansoura district in the Yemeni southern port city of Aden late on Thursday, local sources said, leaving local community with panic.
The explosion was resulted from an explosive device that blasted outside the vegetables and fruits central market in Mansoura, the sources added in remarks to Debriefer.
"The explosive device was attached to a rubbish pin near an under-construction building ahead of a passage leading to the Belt Security camp in the district," the sources said.
While no casualties were reported, the blast left damages to some cars and buildings, the sources told Debriefer, as security forces rushed to the scene.
No official statement has been released on, neither a party has claimed responsibility for, the incident.
This is the second explosion seen by Aden in one week since the Yemeni new government arrived in the interim capital.
On 30 December 2020, Aden international airport was under an attack that targeted the prime minister and 23 of his 24-portfolio cabinet upon their arrival.
27 people were killed and 108 others wounded in the airport attack, which the government survived and blamed the Houthi group for.
