SANAA (Debriefer)--Local sources ruled out on Monday that the overnight explosions which rocked Yemen's capital Sanaa were caused by a Saudi-led airstrike.
No warplanes were heard before or during the explosions in the northern part of the city which has been controlled by the Houthi group since 2014, the sources told Debriefer.
Eyewitnesses and locals said they heard small explosions at first and a powerful explosion shortly afterwards. Later more explosions occurred, they added.
Other sources said the explosion occurred at a Houthi weapons depot, without giving details.
Social media activists said a missile exploded while the Houthis were about to launch it towards Marib province.
The Houthi group has not commented on the incident.
