The Yemeni President Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi on Sunday accused the international community to "appease" the Houthis (Ansar Allah) group and weakening or floating international resolutions in favor of what he called "coup forces, militias and groups outside the state."

Hadi said in a speech marking the 56th anniversary of the 14 October revolution in the south of the country against Britain: "We call on the international community and the Security Council to work to implement international resolutions, in particular resolution 2216, and to respect Yemen's sovereignty and support against the Iranian-backed Houthi coup, which constitutes one of the worst forms of terrorism that threatens Yemen's stability and regional and international interests."

"We call for avoiding appeasement of the coup and weakening or floating international resolutions in favor of the coup forces, militias and groups outside the state.", he added.

Hadi urged the UN special envoy to Yemen to "continue his efforts to follow up the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement as a humanitarian entitlement and commitment that opens the way to a search for a lasting and comprehensive peace."

Yemen has been devastated by a five-year armed conflict between the government backed by the Saudi-led coalition and the Iran-backed Houthis. The conflict erupted after the Houthis ousted the government and seized power in late 2014.

Regarding to the situation in the southern city of Aden, the Yemeni president said he directed to find radical solutions to include all security and military formations within the framework of the ministries of defense and interior.

He called on all those he described as seducing them to rebel against the state and its institutions and national constants to review their reckless actions and return to the right path and stop to proceed in this bloody approach, which has become tangible features of sowing hatred and hatred and exposing people's lives and the stability of their lives for the tragedy.

The Yemeni president welcomed Saudi Arabia's efforts to address these events and to join the ranks towards ending the Houthi "coup" and strengthening state institutions.

On August 10, the Emirati-backed STC's forces seized full control over the Yemeni southern port city, following violent clashes with official army that left 40 people killed and 260 others injured, according to UN release.

The Yemeni president confirmed  that the people will not tolerate projects that seek to undermine the state, topple its institutions, and confiscate them.
