The Supreme national emergency committee for Covid-19 of the Yemeni internationally recognized government, announced Wednesday it had recorded four confirmed cases of Covid-19 infection in the governorates of Lahj and Aden, in southern Yemen, including one death.

The account of the committee on the social networking site "Twitter" stated that three of these cases were in the province of "Lahj" and one in "Aden", so that the province located on the delta of the "Toban" valley officially entered the confrontation line with the deadly virus.

The committee - which only provides statistics for governorates under the control of Yemeni internationally recognized government forces - confirmed the death of one of the two confirmed cases previously announced in Taiz Governorate.

The number of confirmed cases since 10 April in Yemen has increased to 25, including (5) deaths in the areas of the legitimate government, and one case in the areas controlled by the "Ansar Allah" group.
