Yemen says farewell to great poet Maqalih

Sana'a (Debriefer) Thousands of people on Tuesday buried the Yemeni great poet Abdul-Aziz al-Maqalih in Sana'a City.
Dr. Maqalih (85) died on Monday after long struggle against disease, and was given his last services in the Yemeni capital on Tuesday noon.
Maqalih death is a dire loss for Yemeni, Arab nation and the world, the Yemeni authors' union said in a statement.
His departure notably attracted common response from the Yemeni rivals, i.e. the Leadership Council and Houthi group.
Dr. Maqalih served as Sana'a University's rector, Yemeni Studies and Researches Center's chairman, and Yemeni scientific and lingual compound president.
The late issued more than 30 books in poetry and criticism.
