Marib (Debriefer) Commander of Boqu'a axis and Siddeeq Brigade on Saturday escaped an attempted assassination in the northeastern governorate of Marib.
Unidentified gangsters tried to kill Gen Hani Abu-Bakr BaSalama at a restaurant in the oil-rich city of Marib, local sources said.
Leader of the gang attached Gen BaSalama and his bodyguard, Sabri BaYa'ashout, with a dagger, leaving the two men with different wounds, the sources added.
The attacker and his gangsters withdrew outside, opened fire at the restaurant as the general was still there and left the scene on two vehicles that waited for them, according to the sources.
