Marib (Debriefer) Demining program (MASAM) teams have dismantled nearly 370,000 landmines and unexploded ammunitions throughout the last four years, according to recent statistics issued by the Saudi humanitarian program.

MASAM program was first kicked off in 2018 by the Saudi King Salman Relief (KSrelief) Center.

As of 23rd of this December, the demining program removed 368,636 landmines laid by the Iranian-backed Houthi group across Yemen, the statistics said.

The Houthi group planted over one million landmines of different purposes and indefinite number of naval mines in large swaths of the war-torn country, according to Yemen's government figures.

The dismantled mines were laid randomly in a very wide area of 42,294 thousand square meters, the Saudi aid program said.
