Sana'a (Debriefer) - The United Nations' statement on Yemen's deteriorated conditions is positive, member of the Houthi Supreme Political Council said Saturday.
The statement draws attention to the Arab coalition-imposed blockade suffered by the Yemeni people, Mohamed Ali al-Houthi added.
The Houthi official called on the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, to deplore the unfair blockade, which "is in violation of all human principles and values."
He also called for joint meeting with international organizations' officials to review the coalition's claims on obstructions and to find solutions.
On Friday, UN Guterres warned of looming worst famine seen by the world in decades, unless an immediate action is taken to prevent the death of millions of Yemenis and to avoid any action that would further worsen the deteriorated situation.
If this fails, the world risks a tragedy not only in immediate losses in lives, but also with consequences indefinitely echoed in the future, the UN chief added.
