Abyan (Debriefer) - The Yemeni UN-recognized government army and the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) have exchanged ten prisoners from both sides in the southern governorate of Abyan under Saudi sponsorship, Yemeni sources said Sunday.
Under the swap deal, three soldiers of the government special forces and seven STC soldiers were released, the military and local sources added.
The government army's captives arrived in Qarn al-Kalasi area, west Shoqra where the troops are stationed, and the STC captives arrived in Aden, the sources said.
The Saudi monitoring committee supervised the swap deal, which comes as part of applying the Riyadh Agreement's military section, according to the sources.
