Sana'a (Debriefer) - The Houthi air defenses on Monday shot down a Saudi CH4 fighter jet in the Yemeni northeastern governorate of Marib, spokesman for the group said.
The Chinese-made plane was "targeted by a surface-to-air missile, as it was in hostile mission in Madghal district in Marib," Yahiya Sarie added, without further details on the plane's mission.
No comment has immediately been released by Saudi authorities or the Arab coalition.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a military coalition in Yemen since 26 March 2015, in support of forces loyal to President Hadi to retake areas controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthi group.
