BAYDA (Debriefer)--Government forces said they inflicted heavy losses upon Houthi fighters during battles in Yemen's Bayda province on Wednesday.
The Houthi group pushed large numbers of its fighters to infiltrate into army positions in the area of Fadhha in the northern district of Al-Malajim but the army thwarted the infiltration attempt, commander of the 19th infantry brigade Brig. Gen. Ali Al-Kulaybi said in a statement carried by the mouthpiece of the armed forces, the 26th September website.
A Saudi-led coalition supporting the government forces struck Houthi reinforcements in the area, he said.
