Marib (Debriefer) - The Yemeni official government troops have retaken control of key sites in the northeastern governorate of Marib, the 26september.net said, after fierce battles with the Houthi group.
The national army and public resistance accomplished control on Malbooda sites in al-Kasarah front, northwest Marib, leaving huge losses in Houthi troops and ordnance, the defense ministry-run website added.
The government troops waited in ambush for Houthis in Madghal district, killing more than 20 fighters, in addition to the destruction of Houthi weaponry and vehicles and the death of personnel onboard.
On Tuesday, the national army said no less than 30 Houthis were killed and other tens injured in al-Mashjah front, and that its artillery shelled the group's gatherings, reinforcements and arms depot in the same area, damaging their armed pickups and killing the fighters onboard.
In Mehzam Mass, 8 other Houthis were killed in a trap set by the national army.
Persistent violence in Marib left gross losses, amid international calls for de-escalation.
