SANAA (Debriefer)--The Ansar Allah group, known as the Houthis, on Sunday said it has carried out a military operation in the Saudi capital Riyadh and cities of Abha and Khamis Musheit.

The military spokesperson for the group Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarea said the rocket force launched the fifth balance of deterrence operation deep in Saudi Arabia, with a ballistic missile, Dhu Al-Fiqar, and nine drones, Samad-3, targeting sensitive positions in Riyadh. Six other drones, Qasef-K2, were fired against targets in the Saudi cities of Abha and Khamis Musheit, he said.

The missile and drones hit their targets precisely, he said, vowing to expand operations against Saudi Arabia as long as a Saudi-led coalition is continuing its operations in Yemen.

The coalition said early on Sunday it shot down a ballistic missile and six drones fired by the group towards Riyadh and other Saudi regions, including Jizan and Khamis Musheit.

The Saudi state news agency said shrapnel of a missile intercepted fell on residential areas, causing damage to a house. There were no casualties, it said.
