RIYADH (Debriefer)--A Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said it intercepted on Saturday a ballistic missile and explosives-laden drones fired by the Houthi group towards Saudi cities, including the capital Riyadh.
A ballistic missile was shot down over Riyadh and an explosives-laden drone was shot down over the province of Jizan, the Saudi state TV reported.
The Houthis fired more drones towards other Saudi cities, it said.
Early on Saturday, the coalition said it intercepted and shot down a Houthi drone over the Saudi city of Khamis Musheit, the second attack in the past 24 hours.
The Houthis have neither confirmed nor commented on the attacks.
