Riyadh (Debriefer) - The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said its defenses early on Sunday intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone in Yemeni skies flown by the Houthi group northward the Kingdom.
The Houthi hostile attempts systematically and deliberately target civilian objects and civilians, the coalition added in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.
The Arab coalition takes operational measures needed to protect the civilians in conformity with the international humanitarian law, according to the statement.
No comment has immediately been released by the Iranian-backed Houthi group on the coalition statement.
On Saturday, the Houthi group declared an attack targeting the King Khalid Airbase in the Saudi southern city of Khamis Mushait.
The Houthis have recently stepped up their attacks on Saudi targets using ballistic missiles, drones and other projectiles, but the coalition repeatedly says its forces intercept them.
