Saudi Arabia thwarts new Houthi drone attack, coalition says

RIYADH (Debriefer)--Saudi air defences on Wednesday intercepted and destroyed an explosives-laden drone which was fired by the Houthi group towards the Saudi province of Khamis Musheit, a Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said.

The group has been deliberately and systematically attempting to attack civilians and civilian objects, it said, adding that vowing to take further operational measures to protect civilians in line with international law.

On Tuesday, the Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said they attacked a sensitive military site at Abha international airport in southern Saudi Arabia with a drone Qasef-K2.
