Yemenis celebrate song day for first time

Sana'a (Debriefer) - In response to a campaign led by local poets and artists, Yemenis on Thursday celebrated the 'Yemeni Song Day' for the first time, with the seventh of July set the date for what would be an annual occasion.
The campaign is aimed to rejoice the Yemeni rich song and to revive the country's well-known art heritage.
Yemeni singers shared some songs with their fans on social media.
Many Yemenis changed their personal profiles with 'Yamani Song Day', recalling the most prominent names linked to Yemeni art, like Ioob Tarish, Abu Baker Salem, Ali al-Aanisi, al-Morshidi and others.
