RIYADH (Debriefer)--The Saudi-led coalition said on Friday it thwarted an air attack by the Houthi group against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Its air defences shot down a Houthi explosives-laden drone fired towards the Saudi province of Khamis Mushait, it said in a statement carried by the Saudi press agency, accusing the Iran-allied group of continuing deliberate attacks against civilians and civilian objects.
It was the latest in a series of Houthi drone and missile attacks against Saudi regions bordering Yemen in recent weeks.
The group says its attacks are in retaliation for the Saudi-led military operation that has been continuing in Yemen since March 2015.
