RIYADH (Debriefer)--The Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted and destroyed an explosives-laden drone which was fired by the Houthi group towards the Saudi province of Khamis Mushait on Saturday.

It was the second attack by the Iran-allied group against Saudi regions bordering Yemen in hours, it said, accusing Houthis of continuing deliberate attacks on civilians and civilian objects in the Saudi Kingdom.

The coalition has been fighting in Yemen since March 2015.

This past week, it said it shot down several Houthi explosives-laden drones and ballistic missiles in Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

The Houthis say their attacks are in retaliation for Saudi-led airstrikes and support to the forces of the internationally recognised government.
