MARIB (Debriefer)--The forces of Yemen's internationally recognised government said they have repelled a massive assault by the Iran-allied Houthi group against the district Al-Abdiyah in Marib province.
The Houthis on Thursday tried to advance towards the district from their positions in the province of Bayda, a military source said, adding that at least 60 Houthis were killed in battles and Saudi-led airstrikes.
Earlier today, the Houthis said they were besieging the district after cutting off all supply lines into it.
The escalation comes days after they seized Harib, the largest district in Marib.
