RIYADH (Debriefer)--The Saudi-led coalition said on Thursday it intercepted and shot down five ballistic missiles that were fired by the Houthi group from Yemen towards the Saudi province of Jazan.
We have thwarted all Houthi attempts to target civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia, it said in a statement carried by the Saudi press agency.
We are taking necessary measures to neutralise Houthi capabilities in line with the international law, it added.
The coalition has been fighting in support of Yemen's internationally recognised government since 2015
In retaliation, the group has been firing ballistic missiles and explosives-laden drones into the Saudi Kingdom.
