Kuwait announced on Tuesday resumption of its air flights to Yemen, after a pause of nearly five years.
The Kuwaiti civil aviation department "welcomes the Yamania Airlines' resumption of flights between the two countries," the department said.
There should be coordination by the Yemeni civil aviation authority with "the air transportation department to obtain technical approval needed operate [flights] to and fro Kuwait international airport," it added.
Flights between Yemen and Kuwait and other Arab countries have been halted since the war outbreak in March 2015.
The Saudi-led coalition, backing the Yemeni internationally-recognized government, has banned foreign airlines from landing in Yemeni airports, except for Seyoun and Aden airports, with flights limited to Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sudan and Jordan.
