The Houthi group displayed on Thursday photos for debris of a coalition's CH-4 drone the rebels say they had downed in the Yemeni northern governorate of Jawf.
The Houthi air defenses downed the CH-4 espionage plane of the Saudi-led coalition in Jawf by a "surface-to-air missile, which will be revealed later," the group's military spokesman claimed.
"This spying, fighter jet is the third of its kind, and was shot down while committing hostile acts in Yemeni skies, Yahiya Sarie added.
The rebels previously said they downed two coalition CH-4 planes, the first in the Yemeni northwestern governorate of Sa'ada on 23 December 2018 and the other in the Saudi bordering province of Jizan on 29 August 2019.
The Chinese-made CH-4 unmanned aerial vehicle has the capacity of both spying and bombing, and it is the first drone exported abroad by China.
