Houthis announce 2nd confirmed COVID-19 case in Sana'a

The Ministry of Health in the the Salvation Government of Ansar Allah group (Houthis), announced on Saturday that it had recorded the second case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a.

The ministry said it had registered a confirmed case of novel coronavirus with a Yemeni national coming from the interim Yemeni capital, Aden.

The ministry said, in a brief statement, that "the infected is receiving treatment in Kuwait Hospital in Sana'a."

The ministry called on all citizens to "abide by health instructions and guidelines to prevent infection, as well as reduce presence and mixing in markets and commercial centers."

The first case, announced by the Houthi Health Ministry, last Tuesday, was a Somali person who was found dead in a hotel in Sana'a.
