The Yemeni metrology unit in the eastern governorate of Hadhramout on Sunday warned against low horizontal vision and risky thunderstorms resulted from the low-pressure area movement over eastern Gulf of Aden.
The low-pressure area is expected to move towards the Yemeni eastern governorate of Mahara tonight and, then, the neighboring Hadhramout on Monday to Wednesday, adjoining the inner hills of Hadhramout, the unit said in a statement seen by Debriefer.
Cumulus clouds will form with variably heavy rainwaters, affecting Mahara coasts and valleys before moving towards Hadhramout inward districts and villages, the statement read.
The peak of rainfalls will be seen by Mahara and eastern parts and inner hills of Hadhramout, the unit added, calling on residents to follow safety, precautious instructions and avoid travelling through valleys.
