The United Arab Emirates failed to make a funding pledge at the donor conference co-hosted by Saudi Arabia and the UN in Riyadh, advisor to the Yemeni information minister tweeted on Wednesday.
"While it is supporting armed militias in Aden, trying to take control of Socotra and opening secret jails, the UAE has not provided Yemen with one dollar," Mokhtar al-Rahabi added.
He accused the Gulf state of running a "subversive agenda in Yemen.
At the Tuesday virtual pledging conference, many donor countries announced US$ 1.35 billion in aid for the war-torn country, in request of the UN that hoped to raise 2.4 billion at the high-level event.
"Commitments made by donor countries do not meet the growing needs of Yemen," Oxfam Executive Director Jose Maria Vera said Tuesday on Facebook.
