Dhalea (Debriefer) - Yemen's internationally-recognized government said on Sunday its forces killed five Houthis and injured others in the southern governorate of Dhalea.
"A unit of the national army targeted a group of Houthi elements while trying to infiltrate towards Soulan village and al-Zaila area, in the north of Dhalea," the Yemeni armed forces' media center told the Riyadh-based Saba.
"Five Houthi fighters were killed, others wounded and the rest fled," it added, after "one of their combating machines was destroyed in Ya'eis."
Hostilities renewed last Sunday between the Yemeni joint forces and Houthis in Dhalea.
"The joint forces are engaged in fierce battles with the Houthi group in al-Hosha district," said a spokesman for Dhalea frontlines, where soldiers from both sides were killed and injured.
