Riyadh (Debriefer) - The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said early on Monday its forces shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on Yemeni skies launched by the Houthi group northward Saudi Arabia.
The coalition joint forces on Monday morning intercepted and destroyed a Houthi bomb-laden drone over Yemen, coalition spokesman, Turki al-Maliki, said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The spokesman accused the Houthi group of systematically firing the UAV and deliberately targeting civilian objects and civilians in the Kingdom.
This is the coalition's fourth declaration on intercepting Houthi drones in 24 hours, as it said on Sunday that its defenses downed 3 drones en route to Saudi territories.
Earlier on Sunday, the Houthis said they attacked sensitive targets inside Saudi Arabia using 3 UAVs that targeted Abha international airport and King Khaled airbase in the southern city of Khamis Mushait.
