Sultan al-Barakani

Riyadh (Debriefer) - The Yemeni Parliament speaker has been gifted no palace by anyone anywhere, his office said Saturday.
Untrue are the rumors and false allegations that Sultan al-Barakani was given a palace in Egypt from the Yemeni merchant Hassan Jaied, the speaker's office said in a statement.
"What was rumored is but a part of a series of lies targeting Barakani by foes disregarding the ethics in rivalry."
These foes, according to the statement, "hired social media activists and writers to insult the Yemeni Parliament speaker and to fabricate lies against him," without naming Barakani rivals.
"Barakani has received no palace or apartment, neither in Sheikh Zayed nor anywhere else, and neither from Hassan Jaied nor from anyone else," it added, hailing his fiscal honesty and national and political integrity.
