Riyadh (Debriefer) - The Yemeni government positively deals with the Joint Declaration proposed by the UN as a solution for Yemen's crisis, the war-torn country's foreign minister said Monday.
The official government keenly seeks to secure peace requirements and to remove any causes for new waves of conflicts, Mohamed al-Hadhrami added at a virtual meeting with UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths.
He reiterated his government's support for the envoy's efforts and positive dealing with all his initiatives.
The UN envoy Griffiths introduced the Joint Declaration last March to the Yemeni UN-recognized government and the Houthi group, in bid to solve Yemen's conflict.
The initiative underwent amendments many times, the latest was this November.
Among its key provisions are nationwide ceasefire, resumption of political talks, and the release of all captives and detainees.
