Marib (Debriefer) - Yemen's government troops said on Thursday they shelled Houthi sites in Sirwah, a district in the northeastern governorate of Marib, inflicting the group grave losses.
The army artillery targeted Houthi sites and gatherings in Hailan Mont in Sirwah, the government armed forces-run 26september.net said.
The shelling left 21 Houthis killed and depot destroyed along with the ordnance inside at fringes of Hailan Mont, the website added.
The Saudi-led coalition warplanes supported the army's bombing with a series of airstrikes on different Houthi sites on the mountain, leaving many fighters killed or injured and combating machines damaged.
Arab coalition warplanes launched 10 raids on Sirwah and one on Madghal district in Marib, the Houthi-run al-Masyra TV reported.
Fighting has recently been stepped up between the government troops and Houthis fighters in Marib fronts, where the latter captured the strategic military camp of Mas.
