SANAA (Debriefer)--Yemen's Houthi-controlled parliament on Wednesday said the Arab parliament is taking the side of member states of a Saudi-led Arab coalition fighting in the country following a statement by the latter condemning attacks on Saudi Arabia.
It is regrettable that the president of the Arab parliament is exploiting his post and duties to take the side of the Saudi-led coalition at a time when it is supposed to condemn war crimes committed against the Yemeni people, it said in a statement carried by the Houthi-run Saba news agency.
It called on parliaments of the free nations and the world to condemn the statement of the Arab parliament and the free members of the Arab parliament to take a brave position against their president whose positions violate the charter of the Arab league and do not represent the Arab countries.
The coalition-imposed blockade on Yemen has started millions of people to death and caused breakouts of diseases and disasters, it added.
The Arab parliament has been calling on the United Nations Security Council to designate the Houthi group as a terrorist organisation.
