Jawf (Debriefer) - A Houthi unmanned aerial vehicle has been shot down in the Yemeni northern governorate of Jawf, spokesman for the official government army's sixth military region tweeted on Thursday.
The Houthi spy plane was downed over al-Ajashir camp in the northern part of Jawf, Rabie al-Qirshi.
"The drone was heading for the al-Boqu'a crossing at borders with Saudi Arabia," he said.
Separately, the Saudi-led coalition warplanes targeted Houthi personnel carrier and fighters in al-Yatma area in the governorate, the Yemeni official added.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a military coalition in Yemen since 26 March 2015, in support of forces loyal to President Hadi to retake areas controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthi group.
