Hodeida (Debriefer) - The Yemeni Joint Forces on Sunday fended off a Houthi attack in Hais, south the western governorate of Hodeida, the Giant Brigades-run media center said, leaving tens of the attackers killed after hours-long fighting.
The Joint Forces carried out concentrated blows on the Houthis and destroyed three armed pickups with ordnance onboard, the center added in a statement.
The Joint Forces is still besieging a group of the Houthis who tried to infiltrate into frontlines, according to the statement.
On Saturday, the forces foiled a set of Houthi attempted infiltrations in Doraihimi, Hais and Jabaliah districts, "in a bid to abort the peace process and UN-brokered truce," it read.
Doraihimi fighting left 7 government troops killed and 12 others injured, and 12 Houthis killed and 17 others injured.
