Shabwa (Debriefer) - Unidentified gunmen on Thursday assassinated a soldier of the Emirati-backed Shabwani elite forces in the Yemeni southeastern governorate of Shabwa.
The armed men opened fire at Zakaria al-Aqil, leading to the soldier's immediate death, local sources said.
"After committing the crime, the gunmen fled the scene in front of the fish market in Joul al-Raidah in Maifa'a district," the sources added.
