Riyadh (Debriefer) - The Saudi-led coalition forces have intercepted a hostile aerial object en route to the Saudi capital, the Arab coalition command said Saturday.
The object targeted Riyadh before being destroyed by air defenses, Saudi media reported, without further details.
According to Al-Arabiya TV, the Saudi air defenses intercepted a missile fired by the Houthi group from Yemen towards Riyadh.
On Friday, the Saudi-led coalition command said its forces destroyed a drone flown by the Iranian-backed group northward the Kingdom and a Houthi explosive-laden boat south the Red Sea.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a military coalition in Yemen since 26 March 2015, in support of forces loyal to President Hadi to retake areas controlled by the Houthi group.
