Battles pitting the government troops against Houthis in the eastern and western parts of Taiz

Taiz (Debriefer) - The Yemeni government troops have recaptured a number of sites in the eastern and western parts of Taiz, the armed forces' media center said late on Tuesday, following battles against the Houthis leaving huge human and material losses to the group.
The national army launched a qualitative attack on Houthi sites east Taiz city and liberated some sites in Salah Valley, the center added in a statement.
The battles left at least 15 Houthi fighters killed and many others injured, as well as losses in ordnance, according to the statement.
In Taiz's western district of Maqbana, the government troops attacked sites where Houthi forces positioned themselves, liberated Oudain Mont and al-Radma and al-Zawm hills, choked Houthi supply routes from Maqbana to al-Kadaha, and inflicted the group human and ordnance losses, it added.
The battles are still raging, the center said, with the government troops "constantly advancing and Houthi forces sustaining grave losses."
Until Wednesday dawn, the battles are focusing on the strategic mountain of Rahnaq, but also witnessed by the Qouz front in al-Ashrooh village, according to military sources.
