Taiz (Debriefer) - The Yemeni official government troops have fully seized the western rural area of Jabal Habashi district in Taiz governorate, Taiz military media center said on Sunday, after fierce fighting with Houthis fighters.
The national army retook whole control of al-Ashrooh village in the last 24 hours of fighting, the center quoted a military source as saying.
Battles with the Houthis are now raging in Maqbana district, after all the recently-recaptured areas in Jabal Habashi were secured, the source added, "amid accelerated advancement by the government troops."
The 12-hour-long fighting left 70 Houthis killed or injured, the media center said, without details on the national army's losses.
No official statement has immediately been issued by the Houthi group on these battles.
