Tehran (Debriefer) - Stopping Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia dependent on stopping Yemen's war, spokesman for Iran's foreign ministry said on Monday at press conference commenting on Houthi attacks on Saudi lands.
What happens today in Yemen is because of the 6-year-old aggression, the blatant injustice suffered by millions of Yemenis and the arbitrary bombing on different areas in Yemen, Saeed Khatibzaeh added, hinting at the Saudi-led coalition airstrikes.
Saudis "should end this war and stop blockade, to help the UN initiatives and different countries' readiness to solve Yemen's crisis," he said.
Tehran is prepared to cooperate in solving Yemen's issue if Saudi Arabia gets out of war illusion and stops the devastating war against the Yemeni people, the Iranian official added.
The Yemeni crisis can only be solved through political course, he told reporters.
The Kinkdom's "accusations against others won't solve the Saudi problem. Iran offered a four-point plan in the first day, and is ready to offer effective assistance, if Saudi Arabia gets out of the illusion of war as a solution to the Yemeni issue," he said.
