SANAA (Debriefer)--The Ansar Allah group, referred to as the Houthis, on Monday said it launched a new attack against Abha international airport in southwest of Saudi Arabia.
Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarea, the group's military spokesperson, wrote on Twitter that their rocket force attacked, with a new ballistic missile, a sensitive military target at the airport. The missile entered service lately and has not been unveiled yet, he said, adding that it hit the target precisely.
The attack came within natural and legitimate response to the continued aggression and blockade on Yemen, he said.
Saudi Arabia, which leads a military coalition fighting in Yemen, has not commented on the attack.
On Sunday, the group announced a large military operation deep in Saudi Arabia with 14 explosives-laden drones and 8 ballistic missiles.
We targeted Aramco facilities at Ras Al-Tanura port and military targets in the Saudi cities of Dammam, Jazan and Aseer within the sixth balance of deterrence operation, Sarea said.
He threatened more painful operations against the Saudi regime if the aggression on Yemen continues.
