Taiz (Debriefer) - The Yemeni national army on Thursday announced new field wins against the Houthi group in the southwestern governorate of Taiz.
On Wednesday, the official government said its troops liberated al-Hinna area, between the two districts of Mauza'a and al-Wazi'ea in Taiz.
Early on Thursday, the troops combed al-Koaiha and al-Towair areas in Maqbana district, before they joined forces positioned in Ma'afir district, military source said.
These wins will lead to the reopening of some sub-roads connecting al-Houjaria districts to the western coast, and pave way for advance towards the strategic town of al-Barh located between Maqbana and Mocha districts, the source added.
The national army liberated an area of nearly 40 kilometers in three districts, according to the source.
